I'm an avid reader of Crazy Mom Quilts http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/ and she is really inspiring. This quilt is from her blog, and it had an amazing tutorial.
I used a thrifted wool blanket for the batting for this quilt, and I love it. It makes it heavy and very wintery but really nice. The frayed bits are getting more and more frayed and cosy as the blanket is used which is nice

Wow, this is beautiful! I'm about to bind my first ever quilt tonight and I'm a little nervous about it. I love the pinks and that you recycled an old blanket. A little girl would be so happy to have it for her bedroom. Is it a Christmas gift?
